Course Description
The course aims to introduce participants to ZMT´s mission and vision and to establish a relation to their own research project. This includes a reflection on the research design of their project and on concepts of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinarity which are central to ZMT. The aim is to use these three days for an intensive academic dialogue about the “why” and “how” of our research and by these means helping the Doctoral candidates to put their project into a broader perspective and connect it to the expertise present at ZMT. The teaching format includes lectures, interactive sessions and selfstudy-time. As a result the Doctoral Candidates will have designed a poster summarizing the core ideas of your Doctoral research and the connection to the inter- and transdisiplinary approach at ZMT.
